SALEM (CBS) – A mother in Salem apparently had enough of her arguing children, so she called the police.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030?s Doug Cope reports
According to a police report, officers came to the home on Lafayette Street Monday evening and met the woman who said her five kids had been fighting all day.
She was particularly frustrated with her 15-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter.
“Arrest them both — I can’t take this anymore,” she said.
Police ended up issuing summonses to the 15-year-old for hitting his 8-year-old sister.
Officers also notified the Department of Children and Families about the situation in the home.

If this so called “mom” had disciplined her children she would be having these problems. Sounds like the parent lets the kids run the household instead of the other way around.

At least she called before she did anything drastic. Maybe DCF will help with tools for discipline and stress relief.??

toni, maybe you’re correct. maybe she was a bad mother and let the inmates run the asylum; OR maybe she Is a single mom who’s overwhelmed by circumstances. MAY?BE we should be grateful she reached out for help before doing something that can’t be taken back. She certainly deserves credit for knowing she was over her head.

please toni like you can honestly say your kids have never gotten out of hand to the point that you would have like to have called the police? It happens but most of the time people never actually go through with calling the police. If you response is I don’t have kids then you shouldn’t really be commenting on someone else parenting when you have no idea what its like to be in their shoes.

I say, “good for her.” Increasingly lately, it seems that the state wants to be Big Brother and stick its nose into everything that guardians say or do with regards to their parenting of minors, anyway. Instead of summer school, I think a lot of kids these days should have to go to a Civility Camp to learn some manners, and lessons and techniques on appropriate behaviors.
