One of the features you do not know all available in Android 4.0 is the ability to make and restore full backups of the phone without necessarily having root permissions and use programs such as Titanium Backup. The procedure is quite simple and is performed from the Windows command prompt using the Android SDK.
Backup Guide Android 4.0 without Root:
1. Install the latest version of the Android SDK .2. Connect your Android device to your computer using a USB cable.3. Open the windows command prompt ( Start-Run - type cmd )
4. After you have placed in the folder Platform SDK Tools (see image), you can run one of the following commands: adb-all backup | system data and application data will be downloaded but not saved to the phone application itself. By default saves data to the platform-tools As backup.ab .adb up-to-f C: \ backup.ab - As above, except that you can set a specific folder for saving the backup file (instead of C: \ you can put the folder you want).Below we suggest some other possible commands:
-Apk - Backs up your applications.-Noapk - does not back up applications.-Shared - Backs up data on the SD card.-Noshared - Do not back up data on the SD card.For more information on using this command, we refer to the guidance of XDA .
5. Once you enter the desired command and press Enter , the following screen appears on the phone
You must enter a password for the backup. You must use this password if you must perform a recovery in the future. 6. If one day you will want to restore the backup, you can simply use adb restoreExample: adb restore C: \ android-sdk-windows \-platform tools \ backup.ab You will be asked for your password on the device.
